Terms and Conditions

Supply of information

Please ensure that information supplied for stationery is in a usable format and accurate to the

best of your knowledge, to minimise amendment and reproofing. Information for items needed

on the day (Order of Service, Menus, Place Name Cards, Table Plans, Table names/numbers)

must be signed off a minimum of 3 weeks before the wedding to guarantee the delivery of the

items in time for the wedding.

Proofs

Proofs are sent via PDF on email unless specifically requested otherwise, using the wording and

layout agreed in your order – please note that you are responsible for checking spellings and

grammar, even more important if you have supplied your own wording. Letters From Emily will

carefully check wordings but if items are signed off with typos and subsequently printed, Letters

From Emily takes no responsibility if the approval form has been signed. If replacements are

required, they will be charged for in full. Also note that colour on screen can differ from printed

colour and although colours are standardised you should try to see hard samples using the

exact colour you require before signing the stationery off for print.

Any changes required to the wording must be emailed or phoned through and the proof

rechecked and signed off.

Signing off

Letters From Emily requires that, once happy with the proofs, you sign, scan/send back a sign

off form to confirm that you are happy with all elements of the proof from start to finish and

are happy for the entire job to be printed. A sign off form will be sent to you once approval has

been confirmed.

Designs

All stationery, artwork and designs are the copyright of Letters From Emily. All rights reserved.

Due to the bespoke nature of the printing small variations in colour may occur. You are

responsible for ensuring that you have permission to use any material (for example poems and

hymns in your Order of Service or photography/imagery on bespoke stationery) you ask Letters

From Emily to include in your stationery.

Letters From Emily reserves the right to feature your stationery and descriptions of it on

promotional material and the Letters From Emily Wedding Stationery website or blog, but will

never disclose your personal details or wedding details to third parties or online.

Delivery

Delivery will be via courier charged at £8.00

A signature will be required on delivery to provide proof of receipt. If you live locally and prefer

to collect the order please contact us. We must be notified of defective goods within seven

working days or you are not guaranteed a replacement.

Letters From Emily prides itself on exemplary customer service and quality. Every effort is made

on Letters From Emily’s part to ensure that parcels are sent and delivered safely and on time, (If

the terms detailed in Signing Off, above, are met, Letters From Emily guarantee that parcels of

stationery will be sent on a service that ensures they arrive by your wedding date.) If the parcel

is delayed or lost, Letters From Emily will do all possible to locate or replace the stationery and

seek compensation itself from the party responsible.

Responsibility

Risk of loss and damage of products passes to you on the date when the products are delivered

or on the date of first attempted delivery by our courier.

You will be responsible for checking that invitations sent to your guests are the correct type.

No refund will be given for guests receiving the wrong invitations. In some cases this will

involve opening the invitations from a wallet, pocketfold or envelopment, untying a ribbon or

removing/replacing a belly band. Letters From Emily takes no responsibility for invitations being

sent to the wrong guests.

Cancellation, Returns and Refunds

Cancellation of order will be subject to any costs incurred and the full order will be charged if

the order has been signed off and printed. Except in cases of a manufacturing defect we do

not accept returns of personalised items. We must be notified of defective goods within seven

working days. Defective goods must be returned to us by recorded post. We will reimburse

postage costs. Upon receipt of defective goods we will contact the customer to arrange a

replacement or refund

Due to the personalised nature of Letters From Emily products no refunds are offered if you

change your mind on receipt of the goods. All of our sales are meticulously quoted, samples

sent where requested, proofed and printed especially for you so there is opportunity during the

ordering process to amend the specification, print and spec to your liking.

Force majeure

Letters From Emily shall be under no liability if unable to carry out any order for any reason

beyond its reasonable control including (without limiting the foregoing): legislation; war; fire;

flood; drought; inadequacy or unsuitability of any instructions, electronic file or other data or

materials supplied by the customer.
